A little centre with a big heart.
Gratitude is a registered early childhood development centre at 1703 Zambezi Street, Block 9, Ward 2, in Swaneville, Krugersdorp—part of Mogale City Municipality on Johannesburg’s West Rand.
Our name reflects the value at the centre of everything we do: saying thank you and being grateful for the gift of life. Guided by our motto, Nurturing tomorrow’s leaders, we build basic life skills such as manners, self-awareness and confidence alongside quality educational learning.
Every day begins and ends with devotion. Between those moments, children take part in diverse structured learning, practical activities, outdoor play and memorable events in a colourful environment supported by loving, dedicated staff. Children enjoy their days so much that many are reluctant to leave at home time.
Annual excursions to destinations across South Africa form part of our practical teaching approach and help children discover the world beyond the classroom.

Our story
Three little learners.
One big beginning.
Gratitude opened in 2020 at the heart of Swaneville with four children—three multiracial children and one after-care learner.
At 1703 Zambezi Street, Block 9, Ward 2, in Johannesburg’s West Rand within Mogale City Municipality, Gloria Dikeledi Dire and Elizabeth Magoiwa began with two staff members. In the midst of COVID-19, their first priority was to follow strict regulations and provide a safe environment. They also set out to offer secure premises, quality infrastructure, structured learning activities and the art of being grateful—hence Gratitude.
Driven by passion and performance, Gratitude grew from 4 children in 2020 to 50 children in 2026. The growth encouraged the centre to expand learning spaces, revitalise infrastructure and diversify its activities and programmes. As demand for individual attention increased, more staff members joined who shared the same passion and values.
Together, the team has created employment opportunities in an underdeveloped community and continues nurturing tomorrow’s leaders. Staff members and graduated learners remain grateful for the journey.
